Top Quality STEM Learning Resources Free!
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education in the US is getting a lot of pressure to change. The argument is that STEM is linked to our national competitiveness and US students are not mastering it as well as students in other nations.
Dozens of improvement ideas ranging from the use of games, integrating science and art education and making better use of informal learning resources (e.g. interactive museums) are in various stages of development. The option to use freely available learning resources is getting interesting as the resources are rapidly expanding in number and quality. All free. A goldmine. We could use just these materials and some cognitive design to create powerful learning experiences for a wide-range of STEM students.
